- Take the test (if you take the test at home simply pop the sample in the post for analysis. If you take the test in our clinic then we will do the rest – it takes just one minute using our cheek swab sample kit)
- Your results are analysed and a bespoke drip recommendation will be created based on your own unique DNA
- We will provide you with a detailed report explaining your results
- You can then book in to have your personalised Drip

Frequently Asked Questions
What Type of DNA Sample is Required?
The test uses cheek cells as the sample type. The benefits being that they are convenient and painless to collect, and are easily transportable and stable. The quality of DNA collected is as good as, and the results as accurate as, from blood or saliva.
When can the Sample be Taken?
The only restriction is to abstain from brushing your teeth, eating and drinking for at least 1 hour before taking the test. The test results are not affected by any environmental aspect such as medication, supplements or illness.
How Long Before I get my Results Back?
It takes up to 4 weeks for the results to be processed and back to you.
How Will I Receive my Results?
You will receive your results via the email given when you purchased the DNA Test Kit.
How do I Book a Consultation After Receiving my Results?
To book the consultation with our doctor, you will need to give our clinic a call or email and they will be able to advise you on suitable dates and times.
How is Client Data Protected?
Client data is securely stored on the company’s system and is protected using the highest industry standards. Each test is processed in a UK lab and all samples are destroyed after 3 months. A client report is only shared with the authorised practitioner. It is never shared or sold.
Will the Report Explain or Predict Health Issues or Disease?
Lifecode Gx tests common variants (SNPs) that have the potential to alter gene expression and impact health. The report will include nutrition and lifestyle advice on how to compensate for potential SNP impacts and manage the associated risk.
Is the Interpretation Accurate?
Research to support the genotype interpretations is fully referenced in the report and is available to view online. Tests are created and reviewed, regularly, by staff qualified in genetics, nutrigenomics, nutritional science, and research techniques.
Are the Results Accurate?
It tests for common variances, which occur in at least 1% of the global population. The genotyping methodology that we use is very accurate (at least 99.9%). Results that fail quality control are not reported (shown on the report as a ‘no result’).
Will I be Able to Understand the Results?
To get the most benefit from the results, with both Silver & Gold DNA Tests we include a 30 minute consultation with a GMC registered doctor. They will be able to talk you through the results and answer any questions you may have.
