Additional Information

We recently upgraded our classic NADH to NAD+.

NAD+ & NADH are a redox couple, which means that one is reduced (NADH) and the other is oxidised (NAD+) in the redox reaction process. This reaction is vital for cellular energy production and metabolism. With cell health forming the basis of our broader health and wellbeing – it is really important for us to support our bodies in this aspect.

Both NAD+ and NADH are two sides of the same coin, sharing many health benefits. However, it’s our NAD+ levels that decline as we age – which is why research shows that supplementing with NAD+ is better than using NADH.

We always want to do our very best for our clients, which is why we decided to upgrade our NADH to superior NAD+… and at no additional cost!

Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers about NAD+ IV therapy

1. What are the benefits of NAD+

1. Vital for Energy Production:
NAD+ plays a crucial role in fueling cellular energy production, which converts the nutrients from your diet into usable energy for your cells. A deficiency in NAD+ can lead to both mental and physical fatigue.

2. Facilitates Cellular Repair:
Continuous exposure to internal and external damage can lead to cellular dysfunction and aging if left unchecked. NAD+ supports DNA repair mechanisms, activates longevity proteins (sirtuins), and boosts antioxidant pathways, promoting cellular repair and resilience.

3. Supports Sleep Regulation:
NAD+ contributes to regulating your body’s internal clock, known as the circadian rhythm, which governs various functions including sleep-wake cycles. Declining NAD+ levels may disrupt the circadian rhythm, resulting in poor sleep quality.

4. Enhances Brain Function:
Optimal brain function requires sufficient NAD+ levels to meet the brain’s energy demands. NAD+ also plays a protective role in preserving the health and function of brain cells (neurons), helping to combat brain fog and cognitive decline associated with aging.

5. Promotes Healthy Hair, Skin, and Nails:
Adequate NAD+ levels support cellular function, allowing energy to be directed towards processes like hair and nail growth. Additionally, NAD+ aids in repairing and safeguarding skin cells, contributing to overall skin health.

Maintaining optimal NAD+ levels as you age is crucial, offering comprehensive benefits for overall well-being and vitality.

2. What is NAD+

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. It plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including energy production, DNA repair, and gene expression.

3. How does NAD+ contribute to cellular energy production?

NAD+ is essential for the conversion of nutrients from food into usable energy through cellular respiration. It acts as a cofactor in several enzymatic reactions within the mitochondria, the powerhouses of the cell, to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the primary energy currency of the cell.

4. Why is NAD+ important for overall health and well-being

NAD+ is involved in numerous biological processes that are essential for maintaining cellular function, DNA integrity, and overall health. It supports energy metabolism, DNA repair, cellular communication, and gene regulation, among other functions.

5. What factors can lead to a decline in NAD+ levels?

Factors such as aging, chronic stress, poor diet, excessive alcohol consumption, and certain medical conditions can contribute to a decline in NAD+ levels over time.

6. How does aging affect NAD+ levels in the body?

NAD+ levels naturally decline with age due to decreased biosynthesis and increased consumption by enzymes involved in cellular repair and energy metabolism. This decline has been associated with age-related health issues and cellular dysfunction.

7. What are the potential benefits of NAD+ supplementation?

NAD+ supplementation has been proposed to support cellular energy production, enhance DNA repair, improve mitochondrial function, and promote overall health and longevity. It may also help alleviate symptoms of age-related conditions such as fatigue, cognitive decline, and metabolic dysfunction.

8. Can NAD+ IV therapy help with conditions like fatigue and brain fog?

Some individuals report experiencing improvements in energy levels, mental clarity, and cognitive function with NAD+ supplementation. However, individual responses may vary, and more research is needed to fully understand the effects of NAD+ supplementation on specific health conditions.

9. Are there any side effects or risks associated with NAD+ supplementation?

While NAD+ supplementation is generally considered safe, some individuals may experience side effects such as nausea, flushing, or gastrointestinal discomfort. It’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking medications.

10. How can I maintain healthy NAD+ levels naturally?

Adopting healthy lifestyle habits such as eating a balanced diet rich in NAD+ precursors (such as niacin, nicotinamide, and tryptophan), exercising regularly, managing stress levels, getting adequate sleep, and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption can help support healthy NAD+ levels naturally.
