B12 Hydroxycobalamin

Hydroxycobalamin is a natural form of vitamin B12, exactly as it is produced by most microorganisms and found in our body. Hydroxycobalamin is one of the most common B12 forms found in natural food sources. Hydroxycobalamin is converted within the body into the two bioactive coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 – methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin – the sole two forms which can be used directly by our body.

Our B12 Hydroxocobalamin is Neo-Cytamen which is a form of Vitamin B12, an essential vitamin which is needed for production of red blood cells. Neo-Cytamen is used to prevent and treat certain types of anaemia, including Addisonian pernicious anaemia, and other kinds of anaemia which result from a deficiency of Vitamin B12. It is also used to treat conditions called tobacco amblyopia and Leber’s optic atrophy, which result in a dimming of vision.

B12 Methylcobalamin

Methylcobalamin is one of the two bioactive coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 which our body really needs. Only methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin can have a positive effect on our health directly; all other forms of vitamin B12 must first be converted into methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin in order to become an active coenzyme in our bodies.
