أسئلة مكررة
Why would I have a Blood Test?
Vitamin and mineral deficiencies may also cause you to experience symptoms such as fatigue, regular colds & low moods, and so blood tests are a great diagnostic tool that enables you to know exactly what your body needs.
How is the sample collected?
What is the difference between getting a Blood Test and a DNA Test?
The DNA test is based on the genes of a person and therefore would only be required once in a lifetime as genetic information will not change. The DNA test results are able to identify how the body responds to and metabolises specific nutrients, which is more effective than a blood test in regards to micronutrient requirements.
However, a blood test is able to tell a person the current levels of a particular component within the blood such as vitamins, hormones, proteins or electrolytes.
By balancing a healthy lifestyle and focusing on any deficiencies found from the blood test, your results can improve over a period of time. You can have a retest to check your levels.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my Blood Test?
For our Complete Blood Analysis, General Healthcheck, Sports Performance Check, and Essential Iron Check, fasting for at least 12 hours is recommended (nothing to eat or drink except water).
You should not take any iron tablets for 24 hours before your blood test, as they can make your blood iron levels falsely high.
